DevOps Engineer Application Management (all genders), Düsseldorf

Location: Düsseldorf, Germany (also in Berlin, Köln, Essen, Paderborn, Hamburg, Münster, Dortmund, Hannover, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Dresden, Bremen, Rostock, Stralsund, Kiel)

We are committed to building sustainable customer relationships through in-house and third-party software management after project completion in our Application Management team. We ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and further development of the software, and are always available to support our clients in case of incidents or other issues – from our locations (no travel required). Hosting is handled by our partners or the clients' providers.

During development phases, our team provides consulting and support on DevOps topics such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and system configuration. You will perform changes and bug fixes, working with project-specific DevOps tools.

Additionally, your responsibilities include:

  1. Automating server and system installations, as well as build, release, and deployment processes.
  2. Supporting configuration and maintenance of CI/CD across various projects.
  3. Diagnosing errors, providing technical support, and independently implementing solutions.
  4. Planning and implementing monitoring and alerting strategies, and managing software and project releases.
  5. Managing existing system environments through configuration, oversight, and monitoring.
  6. Taking responsibility as the primary contact for your clients, providing independent advice, and organizing team tasks.
  7. Possessing education or a degree in an IT-related field, complemented by relevant practical experience.
  8. Preferably experienced in developing and maintaining web-based applications with Java using build management tools like Maven.
  9. Proficient in SQL and capable of integrating databases in Java.
  10. Ideally familiar with application operations (CI/CD) and working with one or more Linux distributions.
