(Senior) Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

What you'll do:

• You take ownership by building and delivering new features to our customers independently.
• You improve the performance of our platform to enhance user experience.
• You participate in discussions about the long-term architecture of Superchat.
• You shape internal development processes and best practices to enable scaling.
• You contribute your ideas to help shape our product.

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on backend development experience, preferably in the JVM ecosystem.
• Experience with AWS (or other cloud providers) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
• Ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects independently and on schedule.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Tech stack:

• Kotlin with Quarkus Framework (experience with Java/Spring Boot is acceptable; we will help you transition).
• AWS services: RDS with Postgres, S3, SQS, SNS, SES, Lambda, Cloudfront.
• Typesense for search.
• GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Linear for project management.
• LaunchDarkly for feature flagging.
• Doppler for secret management.
• DataDog / Sentry / BetterUptime for monitoring.
• Typescript / React / NextJS / TailwindCSS for web applications.
• TypeScript and React Native for mobile applications.
