Your Tasks

Our Global Procurement Indirects Team is a very international and diverse team. We are passionate in what we do, approach projects from a very entrepreneurial angle and are therefore seen as business partners on eye-level by our internal stakeholders. Our team is globally as well as strategically responsible for diverse Indirects categories, like Logistics, CAPEX, Services and IT.

Within the Global Procurement Indirects team we are now looking for a Global Category Manager IT who will focus on the strategic sourcing of our global IT demands (IT Software, IT Hardware, IT Implementation & Consulting and IT Mobile / Datalines). As part of the Procurement Professional Services & IT team you will work closely with your demand owner to develop, shape and implement an optimal sourcing strategy for Beiersdorf in the IT environment.

Your role as Category Manager Procurement IT includes the following tasks:

  • Shaping and implementing our global IT sourcing strategy for Beiersdorf
  • Fun and drive to lead interesting future orientated and innovative IT tenders as well as negotiating global framework, project agreements or contract prolongations
  • Shaping and steering major supplier relations and supplier management program together with IT department as well as managing different internal Stakeholders up to board level
  • Setting up global market and competitive analysis with regards to our IT categories
  • Considering our procurement guidelines, risk management processes, negotiation methodologies as well as spend data analysis and KPIs
  • Timely and conscientious safeguarding of operational and administrative procurement workflows

Your Profile

  • Complete university studies (Bachelor or/and Master in economics or engineering)
  • First relevant experience in procurement, ideally within an IT context
  • Confident in taking over responsibility and steering a wide variety of projects and stakeholder for n:n procurement processes, and continuously seeking improvement opportunities
  • Strong communicator with proven negotiation expertise
  • Focused on identifying efficiency gains and cost reduction potential
  • Solid understanding of modern procurement methodologies, systems, and tools
  • Skilled in project management, with a track record of leading cross-functional and international teams
  • Strategic thinker with sharp analytical and conceptual abilities, paired with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Passionate about data-driven decision-making, including spend analysis, KPI optimization, and cost benchmarking
  • Building close team with legal department for closing contract discussions
  • Team player with passion for IT and digitalization
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional language skills—especially German—are a plus
  • We also welcome career changers who may not come from a procurement background but bring strong negotiation and contracting experience from roles such as an IT demand owner.
