Responsibilities

• Administration of Debian Linux server systems, operation of highly available, distributed systems.
• Customizing complex HA solutions, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
• Administration of Kubernetes, monitoring of servers and services.
• Automating system administration tasks and deployments using Ansible, GitLab pipelines, and Kubernetes.
• Supporting services for key customers, including database administration (primarily MySQL), leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
• Participating in a rotating on-call schedule (including nights and weekends) to ensure high availability and incident resolution within SLAs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with Linux systems (primarily Debian).
• Experience managing on-premises data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing web servers like nginx and Apache.
• Experience with KVM and other virtualization technologies (e.g., Proxmox, VMware), MySQL administration, preferably with Percona Cluster.
• Familiarity with load balancing technologies (haproxy, proxySQL) and high availability solutions (pacemaker, heartbeat, keepalived).
• Knowledge of DNS administration using PowerDNS and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl) for automation and troubleshooting.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Firewall and VPN solutions such as OpenVPN, PFsense.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios.
• Experience with backup solutions.
• Networking knowledge (Routing, VLANs, BGP).
