Senior - Principal TM1 Planning Analytics Consultant

5th Wave's customer is one of the world's largest specialist boutique consulting firms focused on designing and implementing solutions in IBM TM1 Planning Analytics for both public and private sector organisations.

The Role

They are seeking experienced Senior / Principal Consultants to fill a full-time role within their team.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and build the front-end UX they desire.

High standards of professional communication and understanding of the TM1 front end are essential - knowledge of Apliqo, Workspace, Perspectives, etc., is highly desired.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis and evaluation of business requirements through a structured, methodical approach.
• Define the solution scope, time, cost, and risk by translating business requirements into functional and non-functional deliverables.
• Estimate and plan project deliverables and success criteria.
• Identify project risks and assumptions.
• Communicate with stakeholders, business, and technical teams to clarify roles and responsibilities.
• Implement financial planning solutions in IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 as per the defined scope.
• Identify potential Change Requests and coordinate with Principal Consultant / Project Manager on these variations.
• Participate in Post Implementation Review and take ownership of resulting actions.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Over 5 years’ experience delivering financial planning applications (IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 experience highly valued).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Proven experience across all project phases: scoping, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, using project management methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics / TM1, including cube design, turbo integrator processes, and rule engine; IBM Cognos TM1 Certified Developer is a plus.
• Strong ability to understand complex business problems and engineer effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in finance, budgeting & forecasting, or supply chain roles is desirable.
• Skills in researching, designing, and implementing customer solutions.
• Strong relationship management skills.
