Legal Counsel Data Privacy (m/f/d)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Protection Expert to ensure data protection and compliance with relevant laws and internal regulations, fostering sustainable and compliant business activities.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Providing technical and legal support to departments in developing data protection-compliant products and solutions
  • Serving as the first point of contact for departments and functions
  • Offering legal opinions on data protection laws in Europe and globally, including labor law
  • Supporting the implementation of privacy by design and privacy by default principles
  • Ensuring contractual relationships with data processors are compliant with data protection laws
  • Advising on data privacy-related contracts and policies
  • Assisting operational departments with data protection expertise
  • Conducting risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and ensure legal compliance
  • Maintaining and developing data protection regulations and management systems

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Certified Data Protection Officer, Lawyer, or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience as a data protection officer or consultant, preferably in an international environment
  • Strong knowledge of Art. 25, supported by relevant certifications
  • Legal support experience, especially in contractual matters (Art. 28)
  • Ability to develop risk treatment plans
  • Proficiency in English and German for business communication
  • Collaborative, disciplined, and effective communicator
