Overview:

We are exclusively partnering with a Munich-based private capital investment firm that is expanding its platform with a specific emphasis on the Industrials sector. The firm is known for its entrepreneurial culture and hands-on investment approach across the Europe. With over €1 billion in assets under management and a robust portfolio across various industrial verticals, they are actively seeking an Associate to join their team and support investment activity within the Industrials space.

This is a high-impact role offering exposure to full deal lifecycles in a firm that backs both growth and transformation-stage companies. If you have a passion for the real economy and an eye for operational value creation in industrial businesses, this could be the right next step.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of investments in industrial manufacturing, engineered products, specialty chemicals, automation, and related verticals.
• Conduct in-depth market and company analysis, focusing on industrial subsectors across Europe.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to support deal assessment and structuring.
• Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentation materials for internal committees and co-investors.
• Participate in commercial, operational, and financial due diligence alongside internal and external experts.
• Work with portfolio companies post-investment to support strategic and operational initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, or strategy consulting—preferably with exposure to the Industrials sector.
• Strong understanding of industrial business models and drivers of value in areas like manufacturing, supply chains, engineering, or chemicals.
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills.
• Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a lean, fast-moving, and entrepreneurial environment.
• A strong academic background in finance, engineering, economics, or related fields.
