Manpower Knowledge Management Quality Engineer

The Opportunity

You can be a Knowledge Management Quality Engineer for Manpower just about anywhere, so how do you choose the right position? If you’re looking for the opportunity to work fast, with smart people, solve difficult problems, and support the warfighter – the answer is with us and our Marine Corps client. The mission is critical to setting the theater and not one bit of work occurs without the people to do it! You’ll support the senior leadership by engineering quality into processes that aid your client by managing manpower matters, processes and reporting using the associated Marine Corps systems and programs of record, conducting manpower management and operations analysis, certifying personnel accountability, and all things related to the administrative care of the human capitol aspect of day to day operations at a service component.

Using your depth of experience in manpower operations in a department of defense service component you’ll engineer quality into manpower operations processes. You'll work with our marine client directorates to redesign business processes and provide clients with engineered process recommendations that redesign existing business processes. You'll advise the senior leadership and staff on internal and external administrative activities and serve as the first responder to all KM current and emerging issues. You'll assist with the analysis and implementation of process improvements to achieve efficiencies that reduce re-work and processing times. You'll develop expertise in the surrounding staff in industrial specialties and standards in addition to strengthening project management expertise. You'll facilitate change management, integration, content management, and technical continuity practices that enable the administrative division to embrace new technologies and maximize sustainment of organic capabilities and essential processes through leading developments and alignment of productivity and enterprise collaboration. You'll maintain daily contact with lower to middle level client staff for information and data collection and participate in client meetings. You'll provide quality assurance, quality controls by building processes that reduce variations or opportunities to create defects. Where applicable, You’ll review the work of less experienced personnel and provide training.

You Have

  • 2+ years of experience working on a corps level or Marine Expeditionary Force staff
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing programming and querying languages, including Python, R, Scala, or SQL
  • 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining data applications for reporting and analytics
  • 2+ years of experience with SharePoint Portal operations
  • Experience with Process engineering in Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Six Sigma Green belt, or emerging industry standards
  • Experience with Marine Corps Total Forces and Marine Online
  • Knowledge of a Regional Personnel Administration Center and its programs, systems, and software
  • Knowledge of Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), Virtual Military Personnel Flight (vMPF), military performance reporting system, and the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience with Manpower process engineering, or 10+ years of experience with Manpower process engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have

  • Experience with Marine Air Ground Task Force corps level staff Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF)
  • Experience with Palantir tools, such as Foundry or Gaia
  • Experience with Advana or other DoD data analytics systems
  • Experience with distributed data computing tools including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
  • Experience with data visualization or geospatial tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or ArcGIS
  • Experience working within a combatant command or service component
  • Knowledge of Force Design 2030
  • Ability to harmonize multiple systems and programs of record processes into single point of entry data controls
  • Ability to brief customers during in progress reviews, or project kick-off or close out

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
