cognee is a memory tool for AI apps and Agents. We help developers bring their AI apps to production faster and get more accurate LLM outputs. We have over 5000 Github stars and over 70 000 pipeline runs a month. Our company is located in the US and has a German subsidiary, for which we are currently hiring.

You'll be the operational backbone of the company—owning the hard-nosed, day-to-day execution that keeps revenue flowing, customers satisfied, and engineers focused on shipping.

Expect to:

• Support the entire commercial machine. Take P&L responsibility for the sales funnel—from first demo to renewal—and step in when deals stall.
• Control the money and the paperwork. Oversee Accounting and Finance end-to-end, enforce discipline on spend, close the books on time, and keep Legal tight. Bills get paid, vendors stay honest, and compliance boxes stay checked.
• Be the customer's voice and the engineer's filter. Field issues fast, separate signal from noise, and convert feedback into tickets the product team can ship against.
• Systematize everything that works. Document processes, KPIs, and playbooks so success isn't a one-off. Track metrics weekly; if numbers slide, fix them—don't "explore" them.
• Drive cross-functional programs. Orchestrate launches, migrations, and regulatory deadlines. Calendar-driven, milestone-tracked—nothing slips.
• Build and lead the Ops team. Recruit, mentor, and, when needed, replace talent to keep standards high.
  
  

This is a senior operator's seat: high visibility, zero hand-holding, and a mandate to scale a AI Infra business.

Requirements

4 years of hard-nosed operating experience in B2B SaaS or data-intensive tech—running Customer Success, RevOps, or Consulting P&Ls at meaningful scale.

Full P&L stewardship. You've owned financials, renewals, gross margin, and burn; financing conversations don't scare you.

Proven builder of systems, not slides. Designed and enforced processes, KPIs, and playbooks that survived growth spurts and audits alike.

Executive-level communication. Write board-ready docs and speak plainly to engineers, lawyers, and enterprise buyers—no buzzword fog.

Fluency in numbers and code. Comfortable in Python/SQL for ad-hoc analysis;

Cross-functional leadership. You've orchestrated launches, migrations, and compliance deadlines across Product, Legal, and Finance without missing dates.

Team builder and disciplinarian. Hired, coached, and—when necessary—exited talent to keep standards high.

Business-fluent German and English.
