The Technical Manager shall provide technical expertise and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The focus of the role will be on optimizing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure safety, sustainability, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality production.
Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of batch manufacturing processes, engineering principles, and relevant technologies.
- Use scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to improve efficiency of processes and solve process problems.
- Carry out the basic and detailed engineering for all the major and minor projects for Process improvement, viz. Capacity enhancement, energy optimization, sustainable projects etc.
- Participate and conduct PRA (Process risk assessment) for new processes and support for implementation of technical control measures.
- Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity.
- Problem-Solving:
- Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders.
- Project Management:
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects effectively.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and a drive to optimize processes.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement, cost saving and implementation with support from Plant Manager.
- Data Analysis:
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- B. Tech. (chemical) from reputed college, university with 10-15 years of experience in chemical / API industry in technical services / process engineer role.
- Prior relevant experience in the chemical / API manufacturing industry managing team size of 20-30 headcount.
- Strong understanding of batch process and unit operations.
- Good knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Speed & agility in resolution of technical issues in current and new processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Pursues high levels of performance with energy and passion, pushing traditional boundaries while focusing on the most important things.
- Staying current with industry trends and technologies.
