You will join a highly skilled, cross-functional team of software engineers, system architects, and domain experts. We work in close collaboration with global R&D centers, hardware teams, and platform architects to deliver integrated solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of embedded software components within a large-scale organization of approximately 200 software engineers, system architects, and domain experts
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies across the entire software development lifecycle, including unit, integration, and system-level testing
• Drive key architectural decisions and ensure alignment with overarching platform strategies and technical requirements
• Collaborate with internal and Group-wide stakeholders across hardware, systems, and validation domains to deliver robust, end-to-end software solutions
• Drive modern software engineering practices such as model-based development, continuous integration, and adherence to functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262)
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap for software development, testing & integration across multiple product lines and platforms
• Mentor and guide cross-functional development teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Promote agile leadership principles and act as a role model for your team and the broader organization

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experiencein embedded software development and testing, preferably in the automotive domain
• At least 8+ years of leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams and complex software projects
• Deep knowledge of C / C++, real-time systems, and automotive software standards (e.g., AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, ASPICE)
• Strong background in software testing methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong intercultural skills and experience in managing multiple stakeholders worldwide
• Excellent communication skills in English and German
