Reliability Engineer (all genders)

Your mission

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Reliability Engineer to take ownership of hardware performance and continuous improvement across our local and international bike-sharing systems. This is a highly varied role where you’ll be involved in everything from troubleshooting and root cause analysis to coordinating solution rollouts and collaborating with product and operations teams to ensure long-term system reliability.


Your key responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Investigate hardware failures, identify root causes, and document detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports to support continuous improvement
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance reliability processes
• Manage the handover of solutions to operations and project teams, ensuring seamless implementation and scalability
• Track the effectiveness of deployed solutions using data-driven insights; identify gaps and opportunities for further improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Operations to align technical and operational goals

Occasional travel to our locations in Germany and internationally as needed.

Your profile

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in technical project management and hands-on hardware troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of microelectronics, e-bike systems, and RCA methodologies and tools.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
