Do you want to drive value optimization across DLG's agricultural value chain?

We are seeking a structured and analytical Head of Planning & Optimization to lead our integrated commercial optimization efforts across origination, logistics, production, sales, and trading. This role is key in enabling DLG Agri to reach its full commercial potential through portfolio modeling, optimization tools, stakeholder alignment, and deep knowledge of our value chain and optimization opportunities.

You will develop a coherent, commercially oriented planning & optimization function that supports timely, data-driven decisions to maximize margins across DLG's agricultural value chains. Success will be measured by margin improvements, timely implementation, and stakeholder satisfaction.

• Drive integrated planning and optimization across core functions, leveraging input from trading, logistics, production, and sourcing to maximize group-wide margin
• Own and align optimization results with respective teams through structured interfaces
• Create transparency on optimization potential across the organization
• Develop optimization models using advanced analytics to determine ideal asset, flow, and commodity configurations
• Coordinate across functions to create a unified, margin-maximizing plan
• Lead regular planning cycles based on market, demand, and capacity signals
• Provide analytical inputs for strategic planning and budgeting
• Establish and develop the Planning & Optimization function
• Proven experience in value chain analytics or portfolio management
• Strong analytical skills with experience in modeling, operations research, and advanced analytics (e.g., machine learning, econometrics)
• Experience with commodity value chains and value creation from optionality
• Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration and accountability
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

You will report to the Head of Global Agriculture Trading and be based in either Fredericia, Denmark, or Osterrönfeld, Germany.
