Responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining foundational libraries for Kotlin core primitives used by hundreds of thousands of developers.
• Becoming an expert in specific domains of computer science and software engineering.
• Participating in a design committee to decide how the Kotlin API should be shaped.
• Contributing to the creation of standard Kotlin tools, specifications, and language features.
• Gaining JVM development experience, including the implementation details of the Java standard library.
• Applying a strong understanding of your domain of expertise.
• Writing design documents for complex systems with clear reasoning behind decisions.
• Having experience in performance engineering or API design.
