This position offers diverse responsibilities in handling transport-related insurance claims, including large-scale damages, frequency damage management, and international transport cases across sea, land, and rail. You will work closely with clients, experts, and internal teams to assess and resolve claims efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Initial assessment and mitigation of damages in claim cases.
• Communicate with clients, claimants, and experts regarding claim status.
• Record and reserve claims in our system appropriately.
• Manage the development of claims, maintaining close contact with involved parties.
• Process claims promptly after investigations.
• Conduct regress against responsible parties, with legal support if needed.
• Identify obstacles in claims processing early and communicate solutions clearly.
• Negotiate with claimants to reach mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Coordinate with underwriting to understand policy interpretations.
• Analyze data, prepare reports, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Completed training as an insurance and financial services clerk or similar qualification; further education is a plus.
• Experience in insurance claims handling, preferably in transport or liability insurance.
• Strong decision-making skills in assessing claims.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
