About Neptune

Neptune is an AI- and VR-powered music education platform offering real-time feedback on instrument playing, posture, and technique. We aim to make music learning more engaging, accessible, and effective by combining cutting-edge technology with deep educational insight.

Backed by the Fraunhofer Institute and supported by a strong innovation ecosystem, we’re building the future of music education — and we’re looking for a Co-Founder & CTO to shape our product and lead our tech team in Berlin.

The Role

As Co-Founder & CTO, you’ll take full ownership of our product and technology strategy. You’ll play a key role in building the platform and team that will bring our mission to life.

What you’ll do:

• Lead product strategy, roadmap, and delivery

• Architect and build the core AI- and VR-powered product experience

• Manage internal and external development teams

• Collaborate closely with the founding team, researchers, and early users

• Ensure system scalability, security, and performance

• Build a team culture focused on quality, ownership, and purpose

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:

• Strong hands-on experience in Python and building production-ready systems

• Solid background in AI/ML, especially computer vision, pose estimation, or motion tracking

• Familiarity with tools like OpenCV, MediaPipe, PyTorch, or TensorFlow

• Experience managing end-to-end product lifecycles in real-time or interactive platforms

• Comfortable leading a small dev team (internal and external)

• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Berlin – primarily on-site with flexibility

• Founder mindset: proactive, independent, and collaborative

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Unity (C#), interactive audio tools, or performance optimization

• Background in VR/AR, edtech, healthtech, or motion-based feedback tools

• Passion for music, learning, or creative technologies
