The Role

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to architect, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will focus on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to improve system reliability, scalability, and observability, proactively addressing risks. Your role combines hands-on development, technical guidance, and collaboration with product engineers to enhance our platform, define best practices, and mentor team members. You will also leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.
• Lead the development and standards for Node.js/TypeScript services, mentoring developers and guiding architecture.
• Automate workflows and reduce manual tasks through scripting and tooling.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS), ensuring optimal performance and security.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SRE and Platform Engineering in cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Operational knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, networking, and security on AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab CI.
• Strong observability skills with OpenTelemetry.
• Self-driven with excellent communication and collaborative skills.
