Senior/Principal Software Engineer – Healthtech Scale-Up – €110K | Hamburg/Hybrid remote

We’re hiring a Principal Engineer to lead backend architecture at a fast-growing healthtech shaping the future of regulated digital care in Europe.

Remote in Germany (with regular travel to HQ)

Python-first (Java, .NET, Ruby, TypeScript welcome if open to transition)

What you’ll be doing

Lead backend and architecture for regulated digital health software

Translate IEC 62304 / ISO 13485 into clean, practical dev workflows

Mentor and support engineers across cross-functional teams

Shape infrastructure and improve deployment cycles

Be a key engineering voice in audits and leadership discussions

What you bring

️ 8+ years backend development experience

️ Strong Python or readiness to switch from another backend stack

️ Experience in a regulated environment (medtech, fintech, automotive etc.)

️ A clean-code mindset and strong communication skills

Make a real impact on patient outcomes

Influence architecture, quality, and team practices

Remote-first in Germany, with regular collaboration at HQ

Path to tech leadership within 12–24 months
