What You Will Be Doing

• Provide strategic IT guidance to the leadership team
• Development and implementation of a scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT environment
• Continuous alignment of business requirements and IT landscape
• Maintain audit-ready IT documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Management of all aspects of IT operations
• Coordination and overview of external IT service providers for support, hosting, and operational services
• Overview of the technical operation and maintenance of databases critical to scientific and business processes
• Define and maintain IT policies and drive harmonization of systems across departments
• Evaluation and introduction of new technologies, including AI solutions, to improve operational performance
• Establishment of IT security measures, including backup strategies, access policies, and risk mitigation procedures
• Develop vendor management standards and oversee IT-related contracts
• Plan for future IT capacity and talent needs
• Support the validation of systems in regulated (GMP) environments
• Definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) for IT services
  
  

What You Bring To The Job

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field
• Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with a strong track record of collaborating closely with internal business functions, end users and stakeholders on all levels
• Proven ability to take ownership for meaningful and effective IT projects
• Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on attitude
• Strong problem-solving abilities and high self-motivation
• Ability to handle complex technical matters while also providing hands-on, ad-hoc user support when needed – including VIP and urgent support situations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical topics into business value
• Strong collaboration skills across departments and disciplines
• High interest in innovation and digital transformation
• Experience: Management Role
• German: C1 – Advanced

Nice-to-Haves

• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences sector
• Experience with IT compliance (e.g., GMP, data privacy, system validation) is a strong plus
