Senior Fullstack Engineer (f/m/d) - Angular/Node.js

We are initiating a new product team at SAP LeanIX to provide Architecture Guidance to our customers. Using modern AI-powered data analytics, the team will aggregate data from our catalog and customer workspaces to derive insights that facilitate architecture transformation.

We seek a motivated Senior Fullstack Engineer to join us in our growth journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering customer value, technical excellence, and collaborating within a diverse team. The role is primarily focused on frontend development, with initial contributions to backend work.

At SAP LeanIX Product and Engineering, we adopt a hybrid remote work model, combining in-person collaboration with flexibility for remote work. We hire within commuting distance to our hubs in Bonn, Berlin, Dresden, and Munich, expecting employees to visit the office several times weekly.

What You Will Do

• Contribute Across the Stack: Develop dynamic, scalable interfaces using Angular, RxJS and modern frontend tools, while supporting backend services with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST, and GraphQL.
• Focus on Performance: Build scalable, responsive, and accessible solutions for optimal user experience and backend efficiency.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product management, UI/UX, and engineering teams to deliver impactful, customer-centric solutions.
• Enhance Our Tech Stack: Engage in discussions on industry trends and support the evolution of our technology and best practices.
• Learn & Share: Grow your skills through collaboration and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
• Experience: 4+ years in full-stack development, delivering scalable, maintainable, and reliable applications.
• Proficiency with Angular (or similar frameworks with willingness to learn Angular during onboarding).
• Strong skills in HTML and SCSS, adhering to best practices and accessibility standards.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin, preferably with Spring Boot, in building scalable, secure microservices.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, designing data flow solutions at scale.
• Mastery of testing tools like Jasmine, Karma, and Cypress, fostering test-driven development.
• Agile mindset: Drive high-impact projects to completion, focusing on quality and scalability.
• Strong collaboration skills: Work seamlessly across teams with clear communication to meet goals.
• Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and growth.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including performance tuning.
• Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, for containerized infrastructure and scaling.
• Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of state management tools (e.g., NgRx).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Curiosity about working with state-of-the-art GenAI technologies. While not mandatory, it offers opportunities to learn and innovate.
