Guide Point is a small private equity firm/family office that currently owns five accounting firms and is on track to reach ten by the end of the year. The firm plans to acquire 5–10 additional businesses annually, with a strong focus on operational optimization and long-term value creation.

A key part of the strategy is strengthening and modernizing the digital presence of portfolio companies—improving websites, enhancing SEO performance, and building scalable digital infrastructure as the portfolio grows. Guide Point operates in a fast-moving, ownership-minded environment and is seeking someone excited to grow with the firm long term.

About the Role

The Website Design & Development Associate will lead website-related initiatives across Guide Point’s growing portfolio of companies. This role focuses on website design, development, SEO strategy, and ongoing optimization efforts.

You will work across multiple businesses to improve existing websites, build new ones as needed, and strengthen overall digital visibility. This role is ideal for someone who’s technically capable, design-oriented, and experienced in SEO—and who can operate independently in a remote environment. It’s a chance to join early and play a foundational role as the portfolio expands, with clear long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize websites across portfolio companies
• Lead SEO strategy and implementation (on-page, technical, and content optimization)
• Manage and improve WordPress-based websites
• Develop and manage sites on additional platforms such as Zoho Sites, Webflow, or accounting industry-specific website builders
• Conduct website audits and implement performance improvements
• Optimize user experience and site structure for scalability
• Collaborate with leadership to align website strategy with broader growth initiatives
• Support potential implementation of paid Google Ads campaigns over time
• Continuously refine and enhance digital presence as new portfolio companies are acquired

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEO and/or web design & development
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress development (required)
• Experience with multi-platform website development (Zoho Sites, Webflow, or similar)
• Demonstrated hands-on SEO experience (required)
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple projects
• Interest in long-term growth within an expanding private equity environment
• Experience with Google Ads (preferred, not required)

Compensation & Work Schedule

• Compensation: $8/hour
• Weekly Commitment: 20–50 hours per week. Expect 35–50 hours early on, then closer to ~35 hours per week once a steady rhythm is established
• Working Hours: Must overlap at least 5 hours per day between 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST. Flexibility will be considered for specific circumstances
