Auxis in Bogotá seeks a Systems Solutions Architect to design secure, resilient, and cost-efficient infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premises data centers. You will translate business needs into practical hybrid-cloud architectures while leading the solution lifecycle from discovery through optimization.

Applicants should bring 8+ years in systems/infra architecture, 4+ years in Azure design, strong IaC skills, and experience guiding cross-functional teams.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions in Microsoft Azure, including hybrid and multi-subscription environments.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, governance, Entra ID, and hybrid identity.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, such as Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the architecture and design of secure, resilient, scalable, and cost-effective Azure, data center, and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
• Conduct technical discovery, current-state assessments, dependency analysis, capacity reviews, and infrastructure readiness evaluations.
• Develop target-state architectures, migration strategies, modernization roadmaps, high-level designs, low-level designs, diagrams, standards, and implementation guidance.
• Design Azure landing zones, subscription models, network topologies, identity integrations, governance controls, monitoring strategies, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Design and modernize datacenter platforms involving compute, virtualization, storage, networking, identity, clustering, backup, and operational management.
• Determine appropriate workload placement and migration approaches based on business criticality, security, performance, compliance, recoverability, supportability, and total cost of ownership.
• Provide technical leadership during implementation, migration, testing, cutover, stabilization, and transition to operations.
• Review and validate infrastructure designs, engineering plans, configurations, and technical deliverables produced by internal teams and third parties.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and technical debt, and define practical mitigation plans.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions follow organizational security requirements, identity principles, least-privilege access, network segmentation, and data protection standards.
• Partner with operations and service management teams to ensure solutions include monitoring, alerting, documentation, support models, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and operational readiness.
• Create cost estimates, sizing models, bills of materials, licensing assumptions, and optimization recommendations for proposed solutions.
• Present architecture recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and investment requirements to customers, business leaders, and technical governance forums.
• Contribute to reusable architecture patterns, technical standards, reference designs, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure and hybrid-cloud challenges.

The Architect provides technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including discovery, assessment, design, migration, implementation oversight, operational transition, and continuous optimization. This position requires deep expertise in Azure architecture as well as strong hands-on knowledge of data center technologies, networking, virtualization, identity, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure automation.

Skills And Experience

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise solutions in Microsoft Azure, including hybrid and multi-subscription environments.
• Strong experience designing hybrid-cloud architectures integrating Azure with on-premises data centers.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, including compute, virtualization, storage, networking, identity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience leading technical assessments, infrastructure discovery, migration planning, capacity planning, and solution design workshops.
• Experience creating architecture diagrams, technical designs, standards, roadmaps, and implementation documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, governance, Entra ID, and hybrid identity.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise networking.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, such as Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, or Azure CLI.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance during implementation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Azure Administrator, Azure Network Engineer, or Windows Server Hybrid certifications.
• VMware, Terraform, TOGAF, or ITIL certification.
• Experience with Azure Migrate, Azure Arc, Kubernetes, or platform modernization.
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese.

Language Skills

• English B2+ required.
• Portuguese is highly desirable.
