Our client is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst with strong business requirements, functional design, Azure DevOps, and systems testing experience to join their growing team. You will play a key role in translating stakeholder needs into clear requirements, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, test results, and developer‑ready backlog items. Your work will directly impact the quality, clarity, and successful delivery of features across multiple concurrent software development projects.
Author and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design (FD) documents for features across multiple active development projects.
Define clear, testable Acceptance Criteria (ACs) and maintain traceability from BRD to FD to AC to Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog items.
Identify ambiguities, scope conflicts, and requirements gaps before they reach development, escalating issues for resolution when needed.
Perform functional, regression, and UAT support testing; document test results, defects, and retest outcomes clearly for engineering teams and stakeholders.
Break approved specifications into appropriately sized ADO epics, features, user stories, and tasks for individual developer assignment.
Coordinate with the Project Manager and development leads to sequence backlog work according to sprint capacity across active projects.
Maintain consistent documentation, terminology, version control, changelogs, tagging, naming, and backlog hierarchy as requirements evolve.
4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst supporting software delivery projects.
Strong hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, including backlog structuring, work item hierarchy, and sprint planning artifacts.
Demonstrated experience authoring Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design (FD) documents; writing samples may be requested during screening.
Hands‑on systems and functional testing experience, including test case design, execution, defect documentation, and retesting.
Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce high-quality client- and developer-facing documentation.
Ability to work Central Time (CST) business hours and manage requirements and backlog activities across multiple concurrent projects without cross‑contaminating scope.
Experience using AI-assisted workflows to draft, structure, or review documentation, with a willingness to continue building AI fluency.
Experience working with SaaS or multi‑tenant platforms.
Familiarity with document-management or workflow‑orchestration products.
Experience analyzing systems built on the Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, .NET, or Microsoft Fabric.
Strong, active use of AI tools as part of a daily documentation and QA workflow.
