GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. is seeking a Junior Storage Infrastructure Specialist to support enterprise storage and SAN environments.

The role involves working with senior engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain IBM DS8000 storage, SAN switches, replication, and IBM i/AS400 environments. The ideal candidate has basic hands-on experience with IBM DS8000/DS8K, familiarity with Metro/Global Mirror, and understanding of SAN zoning, Fibre Channel, and storage monitoring.

Formación

• Basic hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 / DS8K.
• Understanding of Metro Mirror / Global Mirror.
• Knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco MDS or Brocade SAN switches.
• Understanding of SAN zoning and Fibre Channel.
• Knowledge of storage monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of Disaster Recovery and storage replication.
• Exposure to IBM Storage Insights.
• Basic understanding of Cyber Vault / immutable storage concepts.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Junior Storage Infrastructure Specialist – L1

Job Overview

We are looking for a Junior Storage Infrastructure Specialist to provide day-to-day support for enterprise storage and SAN environments. The role will work with senior engineers to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain IBM DS8000 storage, SAN switches, replication, and IBM i/AS400 environments.

Required Skills

• Basic hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 / DS8K.
• Understanding of Metro Mirror / Global Mirror.
• Knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco MDS or Brocade SAN switches.
• Understanding of SAN zoning and Fibre Channel.
• Knowledge of storage monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of Disaster Recovery and storage replication.
• Exposure to IBM Storage Insights.
• Basic understanding of Cyber Vault / immutable storage concepts.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to IBM Copy Services Manager (CSM).
• Basic knowledge of PowerHA.
• Exposure to Shell, Python, or Ansible.
• ITIL knowledge or certification.
• Experience supporting banking or financial services environments.

Ideal Candidate

A junior storage professional with practical exposure to IBM DS8000, SAN, IBM i/AS400, and storage replication. The candidate should be comfortable with monitoring and basic troubleshooting and willing to work closely with senior storage engineers in a production environment.
