Recurly in Medellín, Colombia is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Engineer to shape the technical direction of our marketing and customer engagement platform. You'll drive architecture and data-driven, customer-facing features powering real-time personalization, campaign delivery, and transaction support across Rails back-end and Vue front-end.

You will mentor engineers, influence cross-functional teams, and explore AI-assisted development to enhance product features.

Formación

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack scope.
• Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails, including ActiveRecord, background jobs, API design, and SOA patterns.
• Strong Vue.js proficiency, SPA architecture, component design, state management, and front-end performance.
• Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Expert-level RESTful API design including versioning, authentication, and third-party integrations.
• Strong database fundamentals (MySQL or similar) including schema design and query optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and influence architectural decisions.
• Experience mentoring senior and mid-level engineers and fostering technical excellence.
• Deep understanding of marketing or customer engagement platforms—campaign management and personalization.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with agile development and cross-functional product teams.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI/ML integration into products.

• Full-Stack Development: Build robust, secure systems on Rails and Vue.js from API design to frontend experiences.
• Mentorship: Coach engineers through code reviews and design feedback.
• Architecture & Performance: Lead architectural decisions and performance improvements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate problems into technical solutions.
• Engineering Standards: Improve code quality, testing, security, and observability.
• AI-Augmented Development: Leverage AI tooling to accelerate delivery and enhance features.
• Agile Delivery: Lead in iterative, fast-paced environments with frequent shipping.
• Incident Leadership: Drive resolution of production incidents and post-incident reviews.
