Job summary

Staffing Abroad is seeking a Staff Accountant for a renowned Fintech company in the United States. The position handles transaction verification, GL balance maintenance, and month-end close, with English proficiency and GAAP knowledge essential.

The role requires 3–4 years of accounting experience and hands-on use of QuickBooks Desktop, plus strong Excel skills. It offers full-time work with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to interact with investors.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of accounting experience.
• Advanced English B2+ or higher.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop.
• Strong communication with internal teams and investors.
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
• Experience with intercompany accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

Salary: 8.000.000COP to 12.000.000COP

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
• Reconciling bank transactions with data produced by operations.
• Maintaining and balancing general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Producing error-free accounting reports and analyzing results.

• Preparing schedules for internal and external use.

• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years experience
• Advanced English B2+ or higher.
• Highly detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop
• Strong communication skills for internal business department and outside investors
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Experience with accounting for intercompany activity
• Ability to work independently and as a team
