PepsiCo in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a procurement specialist for a 9-month maternity leave coverage. You will support selected commodity categories, execute sourcing strategies, and lead supplier negotiations while coordinating cross-functional teams to protect P&L and drive cost savings.

The role requires 4–5 years in procurement, strong English, and experience with SAP/Ariba. You will contribute to supplier development and participate in value-adding projects across the organization.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

This is a temporary position for a 9-month maternity leave coverage.

This role is responsible for supporting specific procurement categories, with a focus on commodities and raw materials, preferably packaging. The position will execute sourcing strategies, lead complex negotiations, coordinate suppliers and deliver productivity, P&L protection, inflation mitigation and cost-avoidance initiatives.

Your Impact

1. Execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned commodities and raw materials.
2. Lead complex negotiations, supplier selection processes, RFPs and RFIs.
3. Support the delivery of AOP targets, productivity initiatives, price variance tracking and inflation mitigation.
4. Manage contract execution, supplier coordination and competitive benchmarking.
5. Work closely with local and cross-functional teams to resolve supply issues and manage complex situations.
6. Coordinate vendor approval processes in partnership with Quality Assurance and Vendor Assurance teams.
7. Support the development of local suppliers in terms of service, quality, cost and productivity.
8. Participate in change and innovation projects that generate value for the business.
9. Identify cost-saving and cost-avoidance opportunities within the raw material supply and import chain.
10. Manage procurement processes and information through SAP and Ariba.

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

Academic Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency: C1 or higher.

Experience

• 4 to 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and negotiations.
• Experience negotiating commodities and raw materials, preferably within packaging categories.
• Proven experience leading complex negotiations and supplier selection processes.
• Experience executing RFPs and RFIs and managing supplier contracts.
• Proficiency in SAP and Ariba.

Skills
