The Recap Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Sound Mixer & Mastering Engineer for on-site, contract work in Bogotá. You will fix and balance premixed audio, replace music beds, and ensure dialogue, SFX, and overall mix meet broadcast standards.

Responsibilities include precise synchronization with video, mastering to specs, and collaborating with editors to maintain the creative intent. English fluency required; portfolio or reel essential.

We're looking for an experienced Sound Mixer & Mastering Engineer to handle audio post-production for our video content. This role works primarily with premixed audio tracks (not raw multi-track stems), so a large part of the job is audio fixing, repairing, and re-balancing existing mixes. It includes replacing music beds and matching the tonality, EQ character, and mix style of the original source. You'll take dialogue, music, and sound effects and mix them into a polished, broadcast-ready final product that meets professional TV/streaming/web loudness and quality standards.

This is a contract role based on-site in our offices in Bogota.

Schedule: This role follows the U.S. holiday calendar for project scheduling and team availability. Must be available to communicate and collaborate during U.S. business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work primarily with premixed/pre-baked audio tracks, adjusting and repairing them rather than building mixes from scratch
• Identify and fix issues within premixed audio: level inconsistencies, harsh EQ, muddiness, clipping, hums, clicks/pops, phase issues, etc.
• Mix replacement background music (BGM) in existing videos while matching the tone, mood, energy, and mix character of the original track so the swap feels native, not bolted on
• Re-balance dialogue, music, and SFX stems when elements are too loud/quiet or clash tonally
• Mix and balance dialogue, background music (BGM), and sound effects (SFX) across video projects
• Clean up and enhance dialogue audio (noise reduction, EQ, de-essing, de-breathing, etc.)
• Master final audio to match broadcast-standard specs
• Sync audio precisely with picture cuts, transitions, and visual cues
• Select or integrate licensed/royalty-free music and sound effects where needed
• Deliver stems and final mixes in required formats
• Collaborate with editors to match creative intent
• Maintain organized project files and version control for revisions

Requirements:

• Proven experience mixing/repairing audio for video/TV/streaming content (portfolio or reel required - ideally showing before/after or original-vs-replaced examples)
• Experience selecting/sourcing music that matches mood, tempo, and genre of reference material
• Sharp ear for tonal matching - able to analyze an existing mix's character and replicate/complement it with new elements
• Skilled at working with premixed/consolidated audio (limited ability to isolate individual elements) and fixing problems within those constraints
• Proficiency in industry-standard DAWs (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, Reaper)
• Experience with plugins for EQ, compression, noise reduction, and limiting
• Experience delivering for multiple platforms (broadcast TV, YouTube, streaming services) with differing specs
• Solid understanding of dialogue editing and cleanup techniques
• Ability to work with video editing timelines (Premiere Pro)
• Strong ear for tonal balance, spatial mixing, and dynamics
• Attention to detail and ability to meet delivery deadlines
• Good communication skills for collaborating with a team
• Fluency in English required (C1 - C2)

Nice to have:

• Experience with audio restoration/repair tools (iZotope RX Advanced, etc.)
• Familiarity with stem separation tools (for extracting elements from premixed audio when needed)
• Background in sound design

Compensation:

• Compensation is $600 per week (approximately 40 hours of work). Payment is made monthly via invoice.
