Softgic S. in Medellin, Colombia, seeks a Manager, Software Engineering to lead a team of senior engineers delivering core eDiscovery software. You will own people leadership and software delivery, plan with Product, remove blockers, and uphold high engineering standards through design reviews.

You will coach engineers, drive performance management, and shape the team’s use of AI tools with responsible practices to improve productivity while protecting quality.

Formación

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership or mentoring roles.
• Experience managing software engineering teams, ideally 10–16+ engineers.
• Strong ability to review software designs and code.
• Own delivery timelines, commitments, and team performance.
• Experience using metrics to drive delivery improvements.
• Experience delivering software in an AI-assisted engineering environment.
• Ability to establish standards for responsible AI-generated code.

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead a team of senior engineers building core eDiscovery software while owning both people leadership and software delivery.

You will plan and sequence work with Product, commit to delivery timelines, remove blockers, and maintain high engineering standards through credible design and code reviews. You will develop engineers through regular coaching, feedback, and performance management while helping build a high-performing and accountable team.

You will also shape how the team uses AI development tools, establishing standards for responsible use, verification of AI-generated code, and leveraging AI to improve engineering productivity without compromising quality.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership or mentoring roles.
• Proven experience managing software engineering teams, ideally 10–16+ engineers.
• Strong technical depth to credibly review software designs and code.
• Proven ability to own delivery timelines, commitments, and team performance.
• Experience using metrics to manage delivery and improve engineering effectiveness.
• Strong experience with coaching, feedback, mentoring, and performance management.
• Experience delivering software in an AI-assisted engineering environment.
• Ability to establish standards for responsible use and verification of AI-generated code.
• Strong understanding of scalable software systems and modern engineering practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and accountability.
• Familiarity with .NET/C# and PostgreSQL is highly preferred.
