Upwork seeks a hands-on Software Engineer to build MCP-based services enabling AI agents to access and reason over context from enterprise systems. This is a day-to-day production software development role focused on Model Context Protocol services and enterprise product engineering.

Based in LATAM with full-time commitment, you will own development from coding through production, collaborate across teams, and contribute to robust MCP hosting and integration across enterprise sources.

Formación

• 5+ years of software development experience in mid-level roles.
• Hands-on AI and agentic development experience.
• Strong understanding of AI principles and underlying technologies.
• Proficient in Java or Go, with Java preferred.
• Experience using Git in a software engineering workflow.
• Strong problem-solving and technical ownership.
• Proven experience delivering a software product end to end.
• Current hands-on ability to write, read, and understand production code.
• Enterprise software development experience preferred.

Responsabilidades
