Job summary

Amadeus IT Group Colombia, S.A.S. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Reservation team. You will work with product analysts, QA, and DevOps to deliver features for airlines, travel agents, and travelers.

The role emphasizes technical design, coding in multiple languages, and collaboration across global teams in a scrum environment. Responsibilities include defining requirements, designing scalable software, and performing tests.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience with OO languages.
• Knowledge of databases (RDBMS/SQL, Oracle preferred) and NOSQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with Protobuf, XML/JSON REST, and SOA/Events‑driven architectures.
• Strong problem solving, design and debugging skills.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specifications and define user requirements for new or updated software solutions.
• Design technical solutions and sustainable software architecture; model and implement databases.
• Develop software following coding standards and perform unit and performance tests.
• Document software and deliverables to stakeholders.
• Deploy and maintain software on multiple platforms; participate in release cycles.
• Assist in production support and issue investigation with Product Management.
