A global technology leader in Colombia is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software solutions. This hybrid role involves working with integrated hardware/software systems and provides opportunities for continuous learning and an inclusive culture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Java, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Formación

• 4-6 years of experience with Python, Java, Bash, Gawk, Perl.
• Knowledge in Rest APIs, Microservices, and microservice-based architecture.
• Experience in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in data visualization tools like OpenSearch, VictoriaMetrics & Grafana.

Overview

Software Engineer role with focus on design, development and deployment of software solutions. Contribute to architecture and implementation for customer requirements and integrated hardware/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy software solutions to address business issues
• Coding and software development; provide technical leadership and consultation
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform
• Work with other solution architects to understand and interpret business and system requirement specifications
• Troubleshoot architecture and design level problems quickly and provide efficient resolutions
• Analyse, design, develop and test products/services/improvements/bug resolutions for integrated hardware/software systems as per customer requirements
• Resolve customer trouble tickets; diagnose complex problems (hardware, software, or combination) and provide resolutions or corrective actions
• Develop software/hardware build-controlled production releases (e.g., main and update releases, service packages, maintenance updates, and customer design engineering)

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4-6 years of experience with Python, Java, Bash, Gawk, Perl
• Knowledge in Rest APIs, Microservices, and microservice-based architecture
• Experience in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, Kafka and message broker architecture
• Experience in data visualization & exploration tools like OpenSearch, VictoriaMetrics & Grafana; good knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB)
• Understanding of Java VM operation and its relation to Linux OS
• Good knowledge of web servers such as Tomcat/WebSphere/JBOSS
• Network data security and VPN connectivity, IPsec
