Job summary

Source Meridian is seeking a Snowflake Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Snowflake-based data platforms. You will shape foundation standards and roadmaps, working across engineering, analytics, data science and product teams to scale and innovate.

You will guide warehousing, pipelines, and governance, while integrating tools like dbt and Airflow, and ensuring cost-efficient, secure data operations for client platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and data engineering; Snowflake hands-on for 3+ years.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake features (Warehouses, Streams/Tasks, Time Travel, RBAC, Clustering, Stages).
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Python.
• Experience with Azure cloud platform and modern ELT tooling.
• Understanding of data modeling (star, vault, wide tables), CI/CD for data, scalable patterns.
• Excellent English, able to lead technical discussions with US-based stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake (modeling, ingestion, transformation, security, performance).
• Define data platform roadmap, standards, and best practices for a lean, high-ownership team.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analytics, data science, and product to deliver scalable Snowflake solutions.
• Lead design sessions, reviews, and decisions on warehousing, pipelines, orchestration, and governance.
• Evaluate and integrate tools (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Matillion, Azure/AWS).
• Implement strong data security, privacy, and access controls in Snowflake.
• Troubleshoot and optimize warehouse performance and cost; mentor teammates.
