Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager (HVAC focus) to own search strategy for a book of HVAC clients. You will steer the technical roadmap, content priorities, and ranking narrative, serving as the strategic voice at the table.

You will manage technical SEO, keyword strategy, and local/multi-location SEO, coordinating with writers and AI to produce drafts, and reporting in GA4 and Search Console for quarterly roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO with independently run audits and fixes.
• Fluency with GA4 and SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, GSC).
• Agency experience across multiple clients is preferred.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO roadmap, crawl, indexation, site speed, and schema.
• Develop keyword strategy and content priorities with writers/AI.
• Improve HVAC client visibility in AI search and traditional results.
• Lead local and multi-location SEO and provide quarterly client roadmaps.
• Provide reporting in GA4 and Search Console for each client.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, HVAC you own search for a book of HVAC clients (multi-location HVAC and home service groups): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for HVAC or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.
