WSP is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer – Hydro & Dams to join our multidisciplinary team in Bogotá. The role supports planning, analysis, design, and assessment of geotechnical aspects for hydroelectric, water resources, and dam projects, with collaboration across international teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of geotechnical experience and advanced English and French. Proficiency in GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Rocscience, or FLAC is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geotechnical field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Experience on hydroelectric, dam, water resources, mining or major infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with GeoStudio, PLAXIS, Rocscience, FLAC.
• Advanced English and French proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Support geotechnical investigations, site characterizations, and subsurface interpretation.
• Perform analyses for foundations, slopes, embankments, retaining structures, tunnels, and underground works.
• Contribute to design and rehabilitation of dams and hydroelectric facilities.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, specifications, and design docs.
• Develop geotechnical models and numerical analyses with standard software.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, hydrotechnical, geological, and environmental teams.
• Review investigation data and lab test results.
• Support construction activities, including review of submittals and field observations.
