Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production real‑time voice systems.
• Proficient in Python, Go, TypeScript, or C and able to ship code through review.
• Experience with SIP protocols and media routing in production environments.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and packet capture analysis to root cause issues.
• AWS fundamentals and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• GIT, CI/CD, and agile delivery in production teams.
• Clear English for technical calls with carriers or clients.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the services behind the voice platform: call routing, media relay, failover, provisioning and tenant configuration — as code, reviewed, tested and shipped via CI/CD.
• Own SIP trunk architecture and carrier interconnects: dial plans, SDP and codec negotiation, port ranges, NAT traversal.
• Implement and troubleshoot SIP-TLS and SRTP in production deployments.
• Write automation to provision and configure the platform: IaC, image pipelines, reproducible environments.
• Build observability: call detail capture, metrics, alerting, tracing failures to root causes.
• Review technical docs before client delivery; avoid misconfigurations that cause incidents.
• Review peers' code/configs and mentor engineers; participate in on-call rotation.
