Avenue Code is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation, API validation, performance testing, and security testing. The role focuses on designing and executing testing strategies for high-availability applications within Agile teams.

The candidate will coordinate security and UAT activities, ensure release quality, and drive automation improvements across the software delivery lifecycle, collaborating with engineering, product, and security teams.

Formación

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and automation best practices.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing and load testing tools.
• Experience coordinating or executing security testing activities.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery workflows.
• Strong understanding of Agile QA methodologies and software development lifecycle.
• Experience working with complex applications requiring high reliability and security standards.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases across application features and releases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Design, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks and test suites.
• Perform API testing and validate integrations between distributed systems.
• Coordinate security testing activities, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance validation.
• Support performance and load testing initiatives to ensure application scalability and stability.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders.
• Provide release certification and quality sign-off based on defined acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to identify risks and improve software quality.
• Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to Agile QA practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality standards.

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation, API validation, performance testing, and security testing practices. The ideal candidate will have experience testing complex, high-availability applications, working within Agile teams, and supporting secure transaction-based platforms.

This role will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies, coordinating security and user acceptance testing, ensuring release quality, and improving automation capabilities across the software delivery lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience testing PCI-DSS compliant applications or payment processing platforms.
• Knowledge of secure card-data handling, tokenization, and transaction processing systems.
• Experience validating authentication and authorization mechanisms, including MFA and RBAC implementations.
• Experience with SFTP-based integrations and secure data transfers.
• Familiarity with OWASP security controls and application security best practices.
• Experience coordinating penetration testing activities and security assessments.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and cloud-based environments.
• Experience with audit logging, monitoring, and observability practices.
