Sezzle is hiring a Senior Payments Engineer to own and scale the heart of its acquiring and payment-processing stack. This backend role focuses on high-ownership design, with integration to processors like Stripe, Adyen, Fiserv, Plaid, and internal money-movement services.

You will mentor teammates and occasionally lead small projects. You will work with Product, Risk, Compliance and Support to deliver scalable solutions in authorization, settlement, reconciliation, and disputes, while applying

Formación

• 7+ years backend or full-stack experience in payments/fintech.
• Strong Go or Python backend with REST API experience.
• Experience with payment processors, gateways, or acquiring systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services in Golang for payments pipelines.
• Own money-movement flows: authorization, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks.
• Ensure PCI DSS scope coverage and secure data handling.
• Mentor teammates and lead small project teams when needed.
• Instrument systems and monitor performance to drive improvement.
