Job summary

Swiss Re seeks an experienced Senior P&C Facultative Underwriter to drive profitable portfolio growth across the Andean Region, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile. You’ll exercise broad underwriting authority and act as a trusted advisor to clients and brokers.

You will originate, structure, negotiate, and underwrite profitable facultative transactions, collaborating with regional centers to deliver tailored risk-transfer solutions and support regional business strategy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Property re/insurance underwriting with facultative experience.
• Strong track record in originating and closing new business opportunities.
• Knowledge of Andean insurance and reinsurance markets.

Responsibilities

• Originate, structure, negotiate, and underwrite profitable facultative transactions.
• Drive portfolio growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.
• Build strategic client and broker relationships across the Andean region.
• Provide risk transfer insights and tailored solutions to clients.
• Review wordings with support from legal and produce market analysis.
