Job summary

Swiss Re in Colombia seeks a P&C Facultative Underwriter with 3+ years in property re/insurance underwriting to support profitable growth across the Andean Region. You will underwrite, price, and structure facultative reinsurance while collaborating with clients, brokers, and regional experts.

Responsibilities include identifying new opportunities, building broker relationships, reviewing wordings with legal, assessing risk, monitoring market trends, and ensuring adherence to underwriting

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Property re/insurance underwriting (Casualty a plus).
• Experience in facultative underwriting and in commercial risk underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to execution of facultative underwriting strategy for the Andean Region.
• Identify and develop new facultative business opportunities with brokers and clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and cedents, providing value-added solutions and excellent client service.
• Analyze insurance and reinsurance wordings with legal and contract specialists.
• Assess risks and evaluate pricing, terms, conditions, and deployed capacity per guidelines.
• Originate, structure, negotiate, and underwrite profitable facultative reinsurance transactions.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory developments affecting the business.
