N-iX is seeking an Operations Engineer to join our team in a role focused on system operations, troubleshooting, and automation. You’ll monitor, patch, and maintain our infrastructure, while contributing to runbooks and SOPs, and driving automation initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring Linux/Windows administration basics, scripting with Python or Bash, and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered).

Formación

• 4+ years in IT, system administration, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of operating systems, networking, or cloud technologies.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, or cloud platforms.
• Exposure to automation tools or practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) is a plus.
• Passion for technology and solving real-world problems.

• Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Operational Tasks: Perform software updates, system patching, and manage user access.
• Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to scripting and tools development under guidance.
• Collaboration: Work with team members to ensure operational best practices are followed and continuously improved.

The Role

We are seeking an Operations Engineer passionate about system operations, troubleshooting, and automation. In this role, you’ll:

• Key Responsibilities
• System Monitoring & Support: Monitor system health and performance, respond to alerts, and resolve issues to ensure reliable operations.

What You Bring

Technical Skills:

• Basic Linux and/or Windows administration with troubleshooting abilities
• Exposure to scripting or programming with Python and Bash
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferable, but also AWS is taken into consideration)
• Awareness of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, DNS, troubleshooting)

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT, system administration, or related field

NB2! The role is planned as an initial 6-month engagement, with the opportunity to continue beyond this period depending on the project’s needs and progress.
