Bluelight is seeking a senior backend focused software developer to join our growing consultancy. You will design and build scalable APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS, collaborating with frontend teams and clients across the US regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript experience.
• Experience building low-latency APIs in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SDK integrations to other services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience building secure multi-tenant environments.
• Comfortable writing raw SQL and managing schema migrations.
• Professional experience with React.
• Strong testing practices, including integration tests against real databases.
• Experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.
• CI/CD application creation and maintenance skills.
• Solid understanding of full stack development, with frontend contributions.
• Substantial background with large, complex systems.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Bachelor's degree required.
