Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer – Integrations to join our global, fully remote team. You will design and implement backend Java services powering integrations with external systems and ensure secure, scalable authentication and multi-tenant support.

You’ll work on ETL pipelines, connectors, and platform integrations (M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, iManage) while emphasizing API design, reliability, and versioning across multiple tenants. English fluency is required.

Senior Java Backend Engineer – Integrations at BairesDev

In this role, you'll write backend Java services that power integrations with external systems, applying strong API design and event-driven synchronization patterns. Handling OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning, you'll build the authentication and authorization logic that keeps connectors secure across many tenants. What You’ll Do

• Develop Java backend services powering API and system integrations, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
• Implement OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning and authentication logic.
• Build ETL pipelines including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
• Develop integrations with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
• Ensure connector reliability through contract testing, versioning, and regression coverage.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java.
• Deep experience with API and systems integration, including REST, webhooks, and event-driven sync.
• Experience with OAuth and multi-tenant permissioning/auth flows.
• Background with ETL and data pipelines, including connectors, parsers, and schema normalization.
• Experience integrating with platforms such as M365, Outlook, Teams, Slack, or iManage.
• Experience with QA, contract testing, and connector reliability including versioning and regression across integrations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Experience with AWS, including Lambda, SQS/SNS, and S3 for integration workloads.
• Familiarity with MCP or agentic tool integration.
• Experience with Bedrock.
• Background using Java for core platform interfacing or SDK connectors.
• Legal tech or eDiscovery domain exposure.
