Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Angular to lead remediation of security vulnerabilities across enterprise applications. You will own backend Java/Spring Boot development and frontend Angular when needed, mentor teammates, and shape technical direction while partnering with stakeholders.

You will analyse vulnerabilities, upgrade libraries, and ensure secure, scalable solutions across both layers, guiding best practices and code quality throughout the project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development with Java.
• Expert-level knowledge of Java with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Deep hands-on expertise in microservice architecture and REST services.
• Strong understanding of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Solid hands-on proficiency in Angular and TypeScript.
• Practical experience with Kafka or similar event-driven messaging.
• Proven background in mentoring engineers and guiding technical initiatives.
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and remediation of security vulnerabilities across applications.
• Design, develop, modify and maintain backend functionality with Java and Spring Boot.
• Evolve and enhance microservice architectures and REST APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL, tune queries and resolve complex integration issues.
• Maintain and improve front-end functionality using Angular.
• Design and implement solutions leveraging Kafka and event-driven integrations.
• Mentor teammates and drive engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and drive security-focused development.
