Job summary

Engenious is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex IT programs across South America and Europe. You will own delivery, budgets, risks, dependencies and governance, coordinating distributed teams and vendors to meet global stakeholders.

Requirements include 7+ years in IT project management, PMP/Agile/Gate Model, strong financial control, and English at C1. Some meetings may occur after hours (10:00–22:00 window). Portuguese/Spanish is a plus.

Job description

Engenious is looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join the global IT organization of one of our clients. This is a long-term opportunity for a senior project leader who is comfortable managing complex IT projects across multiple geographies, working with distributed teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders, and taking ownership of project delivery, financial management, risks, and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium, large, and enterprise-scale IT projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Take ownership of project scope, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
• Coordinate distributed teams across South America and Europe.
• Work closely with application managers across Colombia, Brazil, and Poland.
• Manage external vendors and ensure delivery meets agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, resource utilization, and financial performance.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, escalating them when necessary.
• Prepare consolidated status reports and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects adhere to established governance frameworks, methodologies, quality standards, and financial controls.
• Support organizational change and technology transformation initiatives.
• Drive project closure, capture lessons learned, and continuously improve project management practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT project management, including large and complex projects.
• Proven experience managing projects across multiple countries, regions, and time zones.
• Experience with PMP, Agile/Scrum, and/or Gate Model methodologies.
• Strong project financial management skills, including budget tracking, forecasting, and cost control.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including communication with senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience managing external vendors and distributed delivery teams.
• Good understanding of IT technologies, IT processes, and business processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in a global, multicultural environment.
• Experience working with factories in South America (Brazil and Colombia). Candidates must be prepared to work an eight-hour shift within the 10:00-22:00 time window. This means that some days the schedule may be 10:00-18:00, while on other days a business meeting with the factory team may be required at 21:00.
• English proficiency at C1 level is required. Portuguese or Spanish would be a strong advantage.
