Job summary

Rankings.io is seeking an Editorial Designer for PIM Magazine, a fully remote independent contractor role. You will own design and production from concept to completion, collaborating with the Creative Manager and editorial team to define visual direction and develop feature concepts.

You should have strong typography, pacing, and storytelling skills, with hands-on experience in editorial layouts and delivering press-ready files. This is a long-term engagement with US-time collaboration windows.

Qualifications

• Portfolio required: share 3–5 magazine/editorial samples.
• 5+ years in graphic design with editorial/publication work.
• Advanced InDesign proficiency; strong Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Exceptional typography, hierarchy, and layout skills.
• Experience from concept to final print production.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of PIM Magazine from concept to final production.
• Set visual direction for each issue with the Creative Manager.
• Translate concepts into engaging visual experiences.
• Design covers, features, departments, and opening spreads.
• Maintain typography, photography, graphics, and layout consistency.
• Prepare print-ready files and production assets.
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and photographers.
