Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps/SRE to join our growing software consultancy. You will design and operate scalable cloud architectures, implement IaC, and drive secure, reliable deployments across modern CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications while adhering to best practices, audits, and customer-focused service delivery. This remote-friendly role requires 5+ years in DevOps/SRE with strong AWS and automation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3)
• Experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL in production with multi-AZ failover and read replicas
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and ECS/Fargate)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with deployment automation and rollback drills
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch)
• Experience with load testing (k6) and latency SLOs
• Security-first mindset including secrets management and compliance
• Experience supporting SOC 2 audits and client security reviews
• Incident response, on-call rotations, and root-cause analysis
• Background with large, complex systems
