Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Systems Eng, IT, IS, or related field.
• 7+ years in SQL Server database engineering and administration.
• Experience supporting enterprise database platforms and complex production environments.
• Leading migrations, HA/DR implementations, and performance optimization programs.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server architecture, administration, and internals.
• Advanced knowledge of HA/DR technologies including Always On, clustering, and replication.
• Experience with automation using PowerShell and T-SQL.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Experience collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency, with strong communication to global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, highly available database architectures.
• Lead HA/DR initiatives like Always On, clustering, replication.
• Define and enforce database governance standards and procedures.
• Drive modernization including cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Lead performance tuning, indexing, and workload optimization.
• Identify and resolve systemic database performance issues.
• Develop automation using PowerShell and T-SQL.
• Enable CI/CD integration and DevOps for DB deployments.
• Reduce operational effort via automation and self-service.
• Align DB platforms with enterprise data architecture and business strategy.
• Support integrations with analytics, reporting, and AI/ML platforms.
• Lead incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• Implement proactive monitoring, alerts, and reliability strategies.
• Ensure security and data governance compliance.
• Mentor team members and contribute to strategy and roadmaps.
