Yuno is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to own the reliability, performance, and scalability of production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) in a remote role. Based in a timezone that complements our Bogota-based team (e.g., Mexico or Europe), you will design backup and disaster recovery strategies and lead deployments with minimal downtime.

You will monitor health, optimize performance, and mentor engineers while working with a distributed team across multiple timezones.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar senior data infrastructure role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB in production environments.
• Solid experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies, replication, and high-availability setups.
• Experience supporting production deployments, including after-hours or on-call rotations.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, written and spoken.

At Yuno, we are building the payment infrastructure that helps companies grow across Latin America and beyond. We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our Engineering team and take ownership of the reliability, performance, and scalability of our database systems.

This is a senior, remote role for someone who thrives on solving complex data infrastructure challenges and wants to make a direct impact on a fast-growing payments platform. You will work closely with our current DBA and Engineering leadership, helping to strengthen our database operations and after-hours deployment support coverage.

We are looking for someone based in a timezone that complements our Bogota-based team (for example, Mexico or Europe), and who is fluent in both English and Spanish.

What you will do

• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills under pressure
• Fluent in both English and Spanish, written and spoken
• Based in Mexico, Europe, or a similar timezone that complements a Bogota-based team
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering

$3,000 - $4,500 a month
