Location: Bogotá, Colombia
️ Role: Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

As our Senior DBA, you’ll lead the modernization, optimization, and high-availability support of our database infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments. If you’re passionate about SQL Server, cloud migration, and working with cutting-edge tech like vector databases, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments (2008 – 2022+)

Design and implement Azure SQL instances (PaaS & IaaS)

Lead database migrations, upgrades, and deprecation of legacy systems

Architect and maintain HA/DR solutions (Always On, log shipping, clustering)
Support multi-region replication and disaster recovery

Administer vector databases like Weaviate, Milvus, or Pinecone for AI/ML applications

Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning

Automate workflows via T-SQL, PowerShell, and CI/CD

Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure database stability

Who You Are

7+ years as a production DBA managing SQL Server 2008–2022
Strong knowledge of legacy database management and optimization
Proven experience with Azure SQL, both managed and hybrid environments

Skilled in scripting (T-SQL, PowerShell)

Comfortable working with HA/DR architectures and multi-site setups
Exposure to vector databases (or willingness to learn quickly)

Familiar with CI/CD, automation tools, and Infrastructure-as-Code

Experience supporting SSRS and legacy job orchestration

Bonus Points For

Knowledge of regulatory compliance (HIPAA, SOX, SOC 2)

Security hardening in legacy systems
